SYMBOL AND MYTH
Symbol and myth are represented by this small tapestry executed in noble materials, as being the essential fabric of man’s nature, of the various cultures, places and peoples of the world. This composition evokes the discovery of gold, the permanent search for treasures, both in the material and spiritual sense, inherent to human condition. What is depicted is not the materialistic euphoria that governs the search for riches, but rather the conception of gold and silver as the strength of the soul of a people who, without some economic wealth and without essential raw materials is condemned to poverty, self-destruction, chaos and, consequently, war.
